Daily Xero Adaptor Drop out Resolution
Recently Xero has implemented a new authorisation method for connecting with third party software, such as Spenda. This has caused some connection problems with daily dropouts, resulting with needing to re connect Xero on a consistent basis. Please follow the steps outlined below, which should alleviate the issue.
- Navigate to Xero, and access your organisation settings.
- Once inside, please go ahead and select connected apps.
- Within Connected Apps, you will find many instances of different 3rd party software that you integrate with. Navigate to each instance of Spenda, click the hamburger icon on the far right and select disconnect. You'll receive a pop up asking to confirm this, Please select the red button, Disconnect app. There may be multiple instances of Spenda listed, so please follow this process for each one.
- At this point, we have fixed the daily disconnection issue. But since we have removed the connection with Spenda, there will be one final prompt to re-connect the disconnected financials which can be performed in the following steps.
- Please log into your account at new.synkd.net and make sure to access the webpage using incognito mode/private browsing in Chrome, this makes sure that the browser's cache will not interfere with the logon process(If unsure how to do this, please click this link), then select the Connect screen under the Synk'd logo in the top left corner, Then select the Re-connect button.
It is possible that it has not dropped the connection as of yet so it may say disconnect instead. If that is the case please select dis-connect first then follow the re-connect steps.
