How backorder stock is handled
If a customer places an order containing a product which is currently not in stock, you will be able to place it on backorder to be fulfilled at a later date. During the picking stage, if any products are not picked, they will automatically be placed on backorder.
Backorder lines are assembled into a new pick slip and will display as ‘ready to pick’. To access these at any time, simply click the ‘Ready to Pick’ button within the status selection bar on your dashboard.
Backorder items can be invoiced with the original picked items, or separately.
