What is a Departmental Posting Item?

A Departmental Posting item allows multiple items to be allocated into a 'singular' item in your accounting system.  Departmental posting will enable Synkd to post transactions to your chart of accounts based on the type of product (chemicals, equipment and so on) as well as were the product was sold (service or POS). 

You will then have a more fine-tuned reporting in your financial system.  For instance, you will be able to track if your chemical sales are more profitable either In-store or out-store (servicing).

If you are using the Warehousing features of Synkd, it is HIGHLY recommended to use Departmental Posting.
