The Difference Between Contacts, Customers and Suppliers in Xero

Xero has three types of data for contacts. They are customers, contacts and suppliers. As a default, all data relating to customers or suppliers are treated as contacts until you sell to or purchase from them. By selling to or buying from a contact, will dictate if a contact becomes a customer or supplier.

When you sell products or services to a contact, they will become a Customer in Xero. When you purchase from a contact, they will become a Supplier. As a default, Synkd does not read in contacts from Xero.

When adding new customers to Poolbox, it's essential to follow the procedure in Adding New Customers.
